A man who has been parading himself as a Naval officer has finally been arrested by security opertives in Anambra state.

Security operatives ave successfully arrested a 60-year-old man, Mr. Benedict Oputa who has been parading himself as a naval officer in Onitsha, Anambra State.
According to NewTelegraph, Oputa, a native of Abi in Kwalle, Delta State, was arrested on his way from Kwalle to Onitsha by officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Onitsha Unit.
The Assistant Commandant of the unit, Mr. Paulinus Akpotobo, who handed Oputa over to the Nigerian Navy, said the suspect was arrested by a Corps Marshall.
Akpotobo said the impersonator had been parading himself as a naval officer since 2010.
“He plies Asaba to Onitsha and each time he was accosted by our men he will claim he is a naval officer. “Today this newly posted officer, who had accosted him several times in Asaba, flagged him down and as usual he brandished his fake identity card.
“On further interrogation, he claimed that he is a master warrant of- ficer, a designation that was strange to the Navy. He could also not mention the name of the commander of his command,” Akpotobo added.
