Many people have expressed sadness after a young Nigerian man reportedly killed himself because he caught his girlfriend cheating.

Uncle Phillip reportedly drank poison after his girlfriend cheated on him

The identity of the man who reportedly killed himself by drinking poison after allegedly catching his girlfriend with another lover has been revealed.

A friend who took to Facebook identified the victim as Uncle Phillip. It was also revealed that the tragic incident happened at Bedore, Ajah area of Lagos state.

Horlajide Idris Abideen who shared the photo wrote: "Wonders shall never end, this guy poisoned himself all because he caught his girlfriend with another guy this evening ( is this right)."

Some people who knew the victim expressed disappointment at the manner he took his own life.
