French football legend, Zinedine Zidane, has on Thursday announced his departure from the UEFA Champions League winner after two-and-half years in charge.
While speaking in a news conference today, he said; “I’ve taken the decision to not continue next year as Real Madrid coach.
"This is the right moment for everyone, it might seem a bit strange, but it had to be done for the good of everyone, the players, the club, and myself.
“This team must keep winning, and it needs a change after three years, another voice, another method of working."
Zidane claimed an unprecedented third consecutive Champions League title when Real Madrid beat Liverpool 3-1 on Saturday, capping a remarkable period in his first job in senior club management.
