ATM Card Thief Beaten Mercilessly After He Was Caught Robbing A Woman (Photos)

 

A 21-year-old man has been taught a bitter lesson after he was apprehended robbing a woman of her ATM Card on Moss Street in the Verulam CBD area of South Africa.

 

While three of his accomplices escaped, the angry mob of approximately 50 descended on him and left him in tatters. If not for the intervention of the members of Reaction Unit of the South Africa's police force, the man would have been lynched.

 

Revealing how the incident happened, the female victim explained that while using the ATM at a service station she was distracted by the suspect while his accomplice stole her bank card.

 

As the suspects ran towards a brown Toyota Corolla she screamed for assistance. Onlookers managed to apprehend one of the men while his accomplices fled in their getaway vehicle. 

 

The mob demanded that the suspect hand over the bank card and when he informed them that it was not in his possession they began to assault him. The suspect was severely injured during the assault.

 

He was placed under arrest and handed over to Police for further investigation.
