A woman has tragically fallen about 900ft to her very sad death from a huge tower horrified onlookers watch.

The woman reportedly threatened to self-harm before plunging from the tower

According to  report by Daily Star UK, a woman has plunged 900ft to her death during a skywalk after removing her harness in front of horrified onlookers.

Terrified witnesses described how the “agitated” woman fell from the iconic Centrepoint Tower in Sydney.

Reports suggested that the woman, described as “middle-aged”, had threatened self-harm before she jumped and landed on the canopy below.

She was killed instantly in what police inspector Robert Winkler described as a “very traumatic” incident.

He added: "The situation appears to be a self-harm related matter.
"As a result there was a large-scale response from police and emergency services.”

The Skywalk experience is a 45-minute guided tour around the outside of the Sydney Tower, which is the Aussie city’s highest building.

People walk along a glass-bottomed walkway while hooked up to a safety harness.

One witness named Chris, who was inside the fourth-floor observation deck at the time, described the chaotic aftermath.

He said: “I walked over to my friends who seemed pretty grim and asked them what happened.

"They said they had just seen a woman fall.

“One of my friends said she saw her falling right in front of her face.

“I asked if she had a parachute and she said 'no'.”

The witness added: "Nothing was happening in the observation deck for a little while afterwards, most people had no idea what happened.

"I started seeing some people in suits come up to the deck – I am assuming they were managers or supervisors.

“Then the group that was up there with her on the Skywalk came down to the observation deck.

"They were an old couple, a little girl, and a few other people.

“The little girl was crying, and the rest of the people seemed to be in shock.”

New South Wales paramedics are arranging counselling for the shocked witnesses.
