The new media aides to both President Muhammadu Buhari and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were embroiled in heated exchanges on social media.
President Muhammadu Buhari's special assistant on digital/new media Tolu Ogunlesi, and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)'s director on new media, Deji Adeyanju were involved in a fight on social media.
The drama started when Tolu tweeted that Nigeria lacks a strong economic advocacy. In response to his tweet, @LagosWklyRecords wrote that Economic advocacy would first be expected from the opposition party to the government and that PDP has no shadow cabinet.
Shadow cabinet in this context simply means members from an opposition party designated to scrutinize the activities of every minister of a ruling party.
Immediately, Tolu responded with "What is a PDP"? Tolu's response apparently didn't go down well with PDP's Deji Adeyanju.
