I Lost A Serious Relationship Years Back Because My Ex-boyfriend's Parents Told Me That Their Son Can Never Marry An Agbo Hawker - Nigerian Woman Narrates

A Nigerian herbal medicine practitioner, Eniola Fagbemi Sisialagbo, has recounted how her ex-boyfriend's parents told her that they can never let their son marry an Agbo hawker. 

Eniola, who cooks Agbo for a living, shared her story in a Facebook post on Monday, April 7, 2025. 

She stated that after the incident, she vowed to always look presentable and is now married to a good man.

She stated that there is dignity in labour as she is not ashamed of her hustle.

“I lost a serious relationship years back, because the parents of my ex boyfriend told me to my face that their son can never marry a Agbo hawker. Those words struck me like thunder. But I vowed to always pride myself and look presentable. Guess who’s married? Yes am now married to the sweetest man ever. Right now even some parents wished am married to their son, truly there’s dignity in labor, and elegance in looking neat. “I AM A BEAUTIFUL STORY,” she wrote.
