Nigerian Man Celebrates Becoming British Citizen After 6 Years On Work Visa

He proudly flaunted his new British passport in a heartfelt post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) page.

A Nigerian man has celebrated after becoming a British Citizen.

The young man officially became a British citizen, six years after moving to the UK on a work visa.

He took to his X page to share the good news and wrote in part:

“I became a British citizen last month, and just two weeks later, my ‘Blue’ passport arrived.”

“Visiting London has been a childhood dream, but never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d one day be called a citizen of the UK — a place I can now call home.”

“It took me some time to put this into words as I am still processing it all, but I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity. This country has given me so much, and I have grown so much since arriving at Heathrow on 1st January, 2019.”
