A Nigerian businessman, Onyelike Darlington has narrated how he ordered the arrest of a young man for assaulting a pastor who preached against “carrying women.”
According to Onyelike, the young man who was deported from Europe claimed that the pastor's words affected him badly because all his babes had abandoned him.
After he engaged the man in a conversation, the man aired his grievances and he then offered N20,000 to him and cautioned him.
“I ordered the arrest of one young man this morning who assaulted one of my pastors and attempted to attack him with dangerous weapons. On arrival to the venue with the police, the young man was holding a dangerous weapon to attack my pastor. When I wanted to move him to State CID, he begged that nobody would come for him.
Then I engaged him in a peaceful discussion, and he opened up that he is not married and he was deported from Europe and my pastor was preaching against carrying women and it affected him badly because his babes don run finish.
I laughed, and then I cautioned him, gave him 20k, and drove him to church today, and we worshipped God together in our branch church. Everything is not violence in this Tinubu regime. Make person no die for our hand,” he wrote.
