Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has begged the individual who stole her colleague's phones to return it.
She announced a financial reward for anyone who can help locate her colleague, Mercy Aigbe’s missing phones.
Recall that the phones went missing during the star-studded premiere of Iyabo Ojo’s latest movie, Labake Olododo, held at Imax Cinemas in Lekki, Lagos, on Sunday, March 23rd.
Numerous celebrities graced the red carpet, making the event a memorable occasion. However, the celebrations took a sour turn when Mercy Aigbe discovered her two phones had gone missing.
According to reports, the phones were in the care of her assistant before they vanished. In a video circulating online, the visibly upset actress was seen confronting her assistant over the loss.
During the event, Iyabo Ojo made a public appeal, urging anyone who found the phones to return them. She further incentivized the search by offering a financial reward for their recovery.
“Please, we are looking for phones. Did you help us see them? If anyone sees a phone that isn’t theirs, I beg you to return it. I will personally give you money. Two phones, locate me, and I will give you money,” Iyabo Ojo said.
The incident has stirred reactions from social media users, with many expressing empathy towards Mercy Aigbe while others criticized her assistant for negligence.
Actress Sarah Martins stated, “Losing two phones? The assistant should have faced some consequences for being extremely careless.”
Joke Jigan added, “Two phones in this economy? That’s unacceptable.”
