The Federal Ministry of Livestock Development has alerted Nigerians of the outbreak of Anthrax in Zamfara State.
This was made public in a statement issued by Ben Bem Goong, the Director of Information and Public Relations of the ministry.

While Anthrax is preventable through strategies such as risk assessments, surveys, and ring vaccination of at-risk animals, prompt detection and intervention are essential to curb its spread.
A statement issued by Ben Bem Goong, the Director of Information and Public Relations, emphasized the ministry’s dedication to collaborating with all relevant stakeholders to ensure a swift and effective response to the outbreak.
