My Dad Wanted Me To Have 100 percent Of Whatever I'm Doing - Davido Reacts To Tweet About His Father Buying Out His First Contract

Popular Nigerian singer, Davido has spoken about his first contract when he started early in his career.

He made this known while reacting to a tweet shared by industry figure Tosin Ashafa, who shared details about the singer's first official music contract.

Ashafa revealed, "I signed @davido to his 1st official contract under Black Diamond Promotions with Cecil Hammond/another silent partner. We hired @GodwinTom to manage him. Dr. Adeleke realized David was really serious with pushing his music without him, reached out to us, and bought us out."

 
Responding to the revelation, Davido noted that the contract was a good one but his father wanted him to keep 100 percent of whatever he was doing, "Lmao I remember this day. So much respect to you guys for allowing me walk!! Just know u were part of something that turned out to be phenomenal!!"
