On Saturday, Vice President Kashim Shettima and Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, attended the wedding fatiha of the sons of Kano APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, as representatives.
Abbas Abdullahi Abbas married Arch. Khadija Attahiru Buhari, while Muhammad Abdullahi Abbas tied the knot with Zulaihat Nasir. Both unions were sealed with dowries of N500,000 each.
The ceremony, which attracted prominent figures from the APC and beyond, was held at the Alfurqan Jummaat Mosque and officiated by the mosque’s Chief Imam, Professor Aliyu Omar.
Dignitaries in attendance included Minister of Agriculture Abubakar Kyari, former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido, and members of the House of Representatives, such as Appropriation Committee Chairman Abubakar Kabir Abubakar and Downstream Petroleum Committee Chairman Ado Alhassan Doguwa.
Vice President Shettima represented the two sons, Abbas and Muhammad, while Senator Barau Jibrin stood in for the brides, Khadija and Zulaihat.
The Alfurqan Mosque buzzed with activities as numerous dignitaries, both identified and unidentified, graced the occasion.
APC State Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas expressed gratitude to Vice President Shettima, Senator Barau Jibrin, and others for honoring his family with their presence at the event.
