Ahmad Lawan, a former Senate President, has visited former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Daura, Katsina State.
The Senator representing APC Yobe North in the National Assembly arrived at the former President’s residence at 12:40 pm on Wednesday and was warmly received.
In a statement issued in Abuja, Lawan’s media adviser, Ezrel Tabiowo, said the former senate president and ex-president discussed a wide range of national and political issues.
Tabiowo added that Lawan conveyed the best wishes of his constituents and family to the former President and his family.
The statement added, “Senator Lawan thanked the former Nigerian leader for his leadership during his tenure between May 2015 and May 2023 and for his continued commitment to the development of Nigeria. He also expressed his gratitude to President Buhari for the warm reception and for his ongoing guidance and counsel.
“In response, the former President expressed his appreciation to Senator Lawan for the visit and his continued support.”
