Two brothers identified as Michael Gwatana and James Gwatana, have tragically lost their lives in a motorcycle accident at Kwanan Mada village near Yaba in the Abaji Area Council of the FCT.
A witness said the incident happened around 11:34am when they left Kuka village on a motorcycle on their way to Yaba.
He said the rider, Michela, and his younger brother were on the bike when they collided with another motorcycle coming at Kwanan Mada.
He said one of the brothers (junior) died on the spot as a result of a head injury, while the other riders were taken to the hospital in Kwali.
He said the senior brother died on the way before arriving at the hospital, adding that the other cyclist was undergoing treatment.
“The boys just left home after they returned from church, finished eating, and mounted the bike on their way to Yaba, and were involved in an accident with another bike,” he said.
He said the remains of the two brothers have been deposited at the Kwali General Hospital morgue.
An official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who was contacted said the incident was not reported to the FRSC.
“The FRSC is not aware of the accident, and you know the place you said the accident happened is along Yaba road, which is not on the highway, so we may not get information about it,” he added.
