In what will come across as a really startling development, a man in Bratsk, Russia, miraculously walked away unharmed after a head-on collision with a car.
A shocking video has gone viral on Russian social media showing the moment a man fell over a fence in the snow-covered city.
He then gets up only to find himself being knocked back down by a car while he was clearing his coat of snow.
He seemingly hadn't seen the speeding car, which ploughed straight into him.
Weirdly, the car appeared to slow down briefly, breaking, before returning to full speed and driving off leaving the man baffled but seemingly unharmed as he was left kneeling on the roadside looking on in disbelief at what just happened.
The video was shared by Baza news, who said: “The driver seemed to have hit the man on purpose and calmly drove on, fleeing the scene of the accident. Judging by the video, the man did not receive serious injuries and got off with a slight fright.”
They also told of what happened after the incident, claiming that he did receive help from someone nearby.
They said: “A passer-by immediately approached him, and asked if everything was okay and if he needed help.”
The longer version of the video shows the man walking around unaided, and talking to the passer-by, seemingly indicating that he escaped from the weird incident unscathed.
According to local news outlets in Bratsk, the incident happened on November 27, and was caught on CCTV in the courtyard of an apartment building on Komsomolskaya Street.
A police investigation into what happened and a search for the mystery driver is now underway – although the car's licence plate can not be seen on the clip.
