Nigeria's Vice President, Sen Kashim Shettima, has arrived Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, to attend the opening ceremony of the International Exhibition of Extractive and Energy Resources (SIREXE) 2024.
TORI reported that Shettima left Abuja for Abidjan, on Wednesday morning, to attend the 2024 International Exhibition of Extractive and Energy Resources (SIREXE) opening ceremony.
On arrival at the Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport in Abidjan, the Vice President was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Diaspora of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, Mr. Kacou Houadja Léon Adom, and Minister of Mines, Oil and Energy, Mamadou Sangafowa-Coulibaly.
The conference will be held from November 27 to December 2, 2024, at the Abidjan Exhibition Centre. The SIREXE conference is an international event organized by the Government of Côte d’Ivoire that focuses on “Policies and Strategy for the Sustainable Development of the Extractive Industry.”
The event brings together actors from the mining, petroleum, and energy sectors from around the world, offering unique opportunities for collaboration, exchange, and investment for industry leaders and sustainable growth for African economies.
Other dignitaries who came to receive Vice President Shettima from the Nigerian Embassy included Mrs. Itam A. Icha, Chargé d’Affaires; Mr. Abubakar L. Alhaji, Senior Counsellor; and Mrs. Assumpta M. Nansoh, First Secretary/Head of Chancery.
