A young Nigerian man has been ridiculed by his girlfriend after he shared his future plans with her.

She termed him 'Bob the builder' over his future plans.

Khalid’s post advocated for open and honest conversations with partners about financial capacity, stating, “Why can’t we just sit down and have an honest conversation with ladies? Like, ‘Babe, here’s where I stand financially, I have this investment, this salary or this capital. I’m capable of doing this & that for you, but there are also things I can’t afford right now. Can we build?'”

Reacting to the post, another user, @khobbytrapp, shared his own experience, cautioning against this approach.

He wrote, “Tried this last year, she took a [screenshot] and sent it to her friend with the tag ‘Bob the builder.’ If she’s not your wife don’t even worry yourself bro, women are not built this way esp in this generation.”
