The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted cocaine worth millions of naira, concealed within everyday food items.
The contraband, destined for the United Kingdom, was concealed in granulated pepper, melon seeds, and yam flour.
Femi Babafemi, the NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, announced the seizure on Sunday via his X account, where he shared a video of the intercepted shipment.
He wrote, “The unimaginable places #ndlea_nigeria officers find illicit drugs these days will make you cringe and be more careful when dealing with humans.
“In this video is cocaine worth millions, concealed in granulated pepper, melon seeds, yam flour, and other items, bound for the UK.”
The NDLEA continues to crack down on drug trafficking methods as part of its ongoing efforts to combat illicit trade.
