The family of popular Christian music composer Jude Nnam, who was kidnapped, has denied reports circulating that he has been released, clarifying that he is still in captivity.
The family described the message circulating on social media that Nnam has been released by his captors as false and misleading, saying he is still with his abductors.
“Dear Friends of Dr. Jude Nnam.
“We want to appreciate you all for your prayers and concern for Him.
“Meanwhile, the message circulating on social media that he has been released by his captors is FALSE and MISLEADING.
“HE IS STILL WITH THE ABDUCTORS.
“By the Grace of God we all shall rejoice when he eventually comes out.
“Do continue in your prayers and support.
‘God bless you.”
Nnam was kidnapped on Thursday evening around 6 pm, in Umunnachi, Anambra State.
The music minister had traveled to Anambra for a church function.
