Three persons have been reported dead after a truck crashed into Ayetoro Market in Lagos on Monday, November 11.
The truck, which was descending from Ita-Opo, is said to have lost its brakes, colliding with a commercial tricycle and a parked Toyota Camry before ultimately crashing into the market.
This was disclosed via a video shared on the X handle of the Lagos State traffic management authority (LASTMA).
The caption reads;
"A fatal accident occurred due to a brake failure of a Truck descending from Ita-Opo and hit a commercial Tricycle and a parked Toyota Camry, then also rammed into the Ayetoro Market/Complex. 3 lives were lost and they've been taken to the morgue at Epe General hospital while we have a Tow truck on ground to evacuate the affected vehicles.
Traffic has been diverted for easy vehicular movement."
