Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has explained why Real Madrid star, Vinicius Junior is sad.
According to him, Vinicius' sadness has nothing to do with him losing the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Ancelotti claimed the Brazil forward is unhappy because of the floods that have devastated Valencia, Spain.
Los Blancos saw their La Liga clash with Valencia cancelled because of the tragedy last week.
Ancelotti said: “Vinicius Jr is sad but not because of the Ballon d’Or…
“He is sad because of what’s happening in Valencia”.
Vinicius Jr lost the Ballon d’Or to Manchester City’s Rodri, despite being a huge favourite to win it.
He finished second in the voting while Madrid team-mate Jude Bellingham came third.
