In a cease and desist letter addressed to the woman, Abbo is demanding the “accuser to retract her allegations on national television and in the national dailies that initially published the claims.”

Former Adamawa lawmaker, Sen Elisha Ishaku Abbo, who was accused of s3xual offense has given his accuser three days to retract the allegations and issue an apology to him.

A video had surfaced earlier this month showing a woman in a romp with a man whose face was hidden, after which the woman, Wange Minso, alleged that the hidden face was that of Abbo.

In a cease and desist letter addressed to the woman and routed through his counsel, M.J. Numa & Partners LLP, Abbo is demanding the “accuser to retract her allegations on national television and in the national dailies that initially published the claims.”

The firm asks the accuser to act accordingly, or it would initiate legal proceedings to demand damages in favour of Abbo.

The ultimatum, issued on September 12, 2024, is the latest development in the controversy surrounding Abbo.

While the woman in the video said the video was released by Abbo because he got angry with her over something she did, Abbo alleged that the woman fingered him as the hidden face in the video because his political opponents were using her against him.

Abbo’s counsel, M.J. Numa & Partners LLP, which describes the allegations against Abbo as “false, malicious, and defamatory,” and causing “irreparable damage” to the senator’s reputation, said Abbo is considering legal action because he cannot fail to act while his reputation is being tarnished.
