Taxi Driver Arrested After Phone Of Woman Who Was Kidnapped Was Found With His Wife

A taxi driver has been arrested by the police for his alleged involvement in kidnapping after the phone of a woman who was abducted was found with his wife.

Posting the story on his X handle, the spokesperson of the Delta state police command, SP Bright Edafe, stated that a lady was abducted and released after paying ransom.

While she was in the kidnapper's den, they collected her phone from her which was eventually discovered by the taxi driver's wife.

When the wife was questioned, she stated that the phone was purchased by her husband.

When the husband was queried, he stated that a customer had left the phone inside his car, which led to his arrest.

He wrote;

 ‘’So this taxi driver was arrested for suspected involvement in Kidnapping. Why was he arrested? A lady was kidnapped and was released after she paid ransom and they collected her phone from her.  The phone was recovered from the wife of the taxi driver. Madam said her husband bought the phone for her.

The husband was arrested and he claimed a passenger left the phone in his car. Now how can he prove that truly the phone was left in his car, how can he prove that he was not part of the kidnappers???? See why we all should be careful with phones that are not ours?''
