Fufeyin and VeryDarkMan, the controversial activist, have been in the news after the latter criticised the former over his “miracle soap and water”.

The outspoken Nigerian cleric, Pastor Abel Damina, has criticized Jeremiah Fufeyin, the founder of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry in Warri, Delta, for his “miracle soap and water.”

Fufeyin and VeryDarkMan, the controversial activist, have been in the news after the latter criticised the former over his “miracle soap and water”.

Fufeyin had in June argued that his “miracle soap” has a registered number from the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).

The cleric also announced products like water, perfumes, mustard seeds, and towels which he claimed solve spiritual problems.

Last week, VeryDarkMan claimed Fufeyin sued him for N1 billion over his criticism of the cleric’s “spiritual products”. He said Fufeyin also served him with a restraining order for calling him out.

On Sunday, there were reports that Fufeyin had withdrawn the lawsuit against VeryDarkMan.

The reports also claimed the cleric advised VeryDarkMan to “learn from your mistakes and walk in righteousness from now on”.

But the activist said he was unaware of the report, adding that “my lawyer would have contacted me if it was true”.

Weighing in on the matter at a recent gathering, Damina, the lead pastor at Abel Damina Ministries International, argued that Fufeyin’s “miracle soap and Bethesda water are fake”.

Damina added that “if I was VeryDarkMan,” he would continue to challenge Fufeyin — even in court — until the uncertainty about his products was cleared.

“They are doing everything exactly backward. They are opening their salvation shops all over the place, and suing people for pointing to their soap. And we take them up on their offer and are ready to go to court, and lawyers begin to show up nationwide, providing free legal services so that this soap business can end,” he said.

“Then they say God said they should withdraw the case. We should have gone to court. If I was VeryDarkMan… When the matter was about to be sweet, he stopped the movie. What kind of thing is this? He did not try at all. That means the soap is fake. The perfume and River Jordan water is fake. Everything is a scam.”
