Kompany has signed a three-year contract with the former Bundesliga champions.
Vincent Kompany has been appointed as new manager of German club, Bayern Munich.
The appointment was made official on Wednesday by the club.
Kompany signed a three-year contract with the former Bundesliga champions.
He will replace Thomas Tuchel who stepped down from the role at the end of this summer.
Bayern will pay £10 million to Burnley to release Kompany from his contract.
“I’m really looking forward to the challenge at FC Bayern.
“It’s a great honour to be able to work for this club — FC Bayern is an institution in international football,” Kompany said in a statement.
