Beautiful Married Woman Killed After Going Out on a Date with Man She Met Online (Photo)

 

Body parts found Saturday in a recycling bin outside of a Seattle home belong to a local woman who went missing the night before, police said Monday night.

 

Friends and family hadn’t seen Ingrid Lyne, a 40-year-old nurse and mother of three from nearby Renton, since she went to a baseball game Friday night with a man she met online. She was reported missing Saturday morning.

 

Seattle police, who are leading the search for Lyne, announced Monday that her date to the game had been arrested in Snohomish County and the body parts are believed to be hers.

 

Detectives booked John Robert Charlton, 37, into King County jail because of an "investigation for murder," according to the police department. Police also asked for help finding her silver Toyota Highlander with Washington license plate AUW3230 and released a photo of the car.

 

Investigators said at a news conference Monday night that they have "no reason to believe that there's any question of the victim's identity," but they still await official confirmation from medical examiners.

 

Nonprofit health provider Swedish Medical Center has confirmed Lyne, its employee, missing. Police said her ex-husband reported her disappearance Saturday after she didn’t pick up her kids as planned the morning after the Mariners' home opener. Lyne's purse and phone were still in her house, a neighbour said.

 

A homeowner roughly three miles northeast of Safeco Field found body parts described as “fresh” around 4 p.m. Saturday, according to police. Investigators believe the three adult body parts, including a foot, were packaged and placed in the bin at 21st Ave. and E. Pine St. sometime late Friday or early Saturday, The Seattle Times reported.

 

A staff member in the King County Medical Examiner’s office, which is working to identify the remains, said examiners had no new information to release Monday night.
