How Google Map Led Travelling Corps Members To Bandits' Den In Sokoto – Shehu Sani

Sani disclosed that a youth corps member, who recently escaped from the bandits den narrated how the Google Map they used while they were going to Sokoto State led them to the bandits enclave.

Senator Shehu Sani, a former lawmaker and social activist, has decried the connivance of certain elements in the increasing cases of kidnapping and banditry in Nigeria.

Sani disclosed that a youth corps member, who recently escaped from the bandits den narrated how the Google Map they used while they were going to Sokoto State led them to the bandits enclave.

The former lawmaker, who shared the revelation on his X (formerly Twitter) wrote: "One of the Youth Corpers who escaped from Bandits narrated that they used google map on their way to Sokoto and it led them to the Den of Bandits."

Meanwhile, the revelation in the post has elicited angry reactions from Nigerian social media users.
 
@ayokay13 said that location of kidnappers was known but the government didn't want to do the needful because the security agencies are complicit.

For Ebuka Nwafor with handle @EbukaNw82866148 wrote: "They need to arrest the "google map" that led them to the Den of Bandits in Sokoto. Misleading "google map" ought to be manhandled and mishandled.

@Farouq__SG said that it was possible for such a thing to happen.
 

According to him, "It can be possible, there was a time I was driving from kebbi to Kano and google map mislead me, people had to stop me and tell me to turn."
