Posted by Thandiubani on Mon 14th Mar, 2022 - tori.ng

The OYC cautioned the political elites and elders not to subvert justice against the people of the southeast.

The Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) has asked Nigerians to drum support for Igbo presidency in 2023.

The group said in the spirit of equity, justice and fairness, all Nigerians should come together and support Igbos.

The youth wing of the Igbo socio-cultural organization said this as it condemned the alleged marginalization and injustice being meted to the Igbo nation in the Nigeria democratic government.

In an open letter addressed to Nigerian youths, and made available to DAILY POST on Monday, the Igboayaka O. Igboayaka-led OYC, stressed the urgent need for youth leaders of all ethnic nationalities in the country to work collectively towards building peace and unity with justice equity and fairness in Nigeria.

According to the Igbo youths, “this is time Nigeria’s unity matters most in our political survival history with the new generation leaders (Youths) as the real stakeholders.

The OYC cautioned the political elites and elders not to subvert justice against the people of the southeast geopolitical zone to produce President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor in 2023.

The Igbo group, also maintained that all the Nigerian citizens must shun the drums of war and crisis as the Nigeria President of Igbo extraction in the coming 2023 remain an antidote.

“Remember, every element of crisis or war, the youths will fall the greatest victims, because, we are the real patriotic Nigerians who believe that equity, justice and fairness, and the unity of Nigeria with other tribes, is inevitable which will launch Nigeria to a better productive and commercial nation in the world”, he opined.

The Ohanaeze youths maintained that Nigeria can overcome myriads of problems impeding her socio-economic and Infrastructural growths, and as well as, its political and security development is for all citizens to halt the injustice and marginalisation being unleashed against the Igbo nation, as anything contrary would deteriorate to a season of great tribulation, and the negative impact will befall youths.

“To quench this drums of war and crisis will be our greatest achievement, because, the negative impact of the crisis will befall the youths. Do you expect the likes of Senator Dino Melaye to go to war with the imagination of his luxury cars and mansions? Or do you expect past and present governors that have pocketed local government allocations since the past 24 years to be at the war front?

“Do you expect our Senators and Representative members that are swimming in Constituency funds to be on the battlefield? Do you expect these looters that have eaten all kinds of dishes in the world to be inside the bush firing guns and eating rats and lizards?

“No, my fellow youths, wake up and let us all join hands and fix Nigeria with equity, justice and fairness. Join the campaign for equity ad justice for the actualization of Nigeria President of southeast extraction come 2023."
