Asabe Vilita Bashir has been appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as the new DG of National Center for Women Development.

The National Center for Women Development, NCWD has a new Director-General.
President Muhammadu Buhari gave the approval for Asabe Vilita Bashir to head the organisation.
The appointment was announced by the Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen .
The new DG takes over the leadership of the NCWD on Monday, 12 April.
Ms Bashir was born in Limankara community, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
She obtained her first degree in Chemistry and Mathematics in 1988 from University of Maiduguri and obtained PhD in Educational Philosophy.
She was elected into Borno State House of Assembly in 1997.
