The Indigenous People of Biafra has sent a solidarity message to Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state.

Nnamdi Kanu has reacted to the failed assassination of Benue state Governor, Samuel Ortom.
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB showed solidarity to the governor saying he should not despair.
Kanu made the remark in reaction to Ortom’s comment that people of the State are ready to stop Fulani herdsmen.
Ortom had said the Tiv nation in 1804, fought and stopped the Fulani herdsmen from taking over the State.
The Governor declared that the present generation of the Tiv nation are not afraid to follow the steps of their forefathers.
Reacting, Kanu in a tweet wrote: “Our forefathers stopped them in 1804, we are not afraid – Ortom
“Dear Gov. Ortom, The #IPOB that I lead stand with you. #Biafrans stand with you.
“I’m pretty certain that all that yearn for freedom in NIGERIA stand with you. Do not despair. We got your back. @GovSamuelOrtom.”
Ortom recently escaped an assassination attempt while at his farm along Makurdi- Gboko road last Saturday.
The Governor had said the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore were planning to eliminate him.
