Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, has revealed what the former Nigerian Head of State, Yakubu Gowon did for his father in 1966.
Fani-Kayode made the revelation when he shared a photo of himself and the former Nigerian Head of State on his Instagram page recently.
According to him, Gowon saved his father's life when the "junior officers coup took place in 1996."
The former minister also gushed about flying in the same plane with the elder statesman.
He wrote: It was a pleasure to fly with former Head of State Gen. Yakubu Gowon today. A perfect gentleman. He and the late Captain S.G. Tokida saved my father's life on the night of Jan. 15th 1966 when the junior officers coup took place. I always thank him for that whenever see him. I did so again today!
