A sea cow has been killed by some community members in Sapele area of Delta state who butchered the animal for food.

Some villagers in Sapele area of Delta state have considered themselves lucky after capturing a huge sea cow.
The animal was butchered by the villagers and the meat cooked for food.
Sharing the news on Facebook, Benny DCapricorn: "Some Villagers in Sapele, Delta State caught this creature that looks like a Pig. They Killed and Shared its meat. I don't even know what it is called.
They should have sent it to an institute for research purposes or a Zoo.
Were they in the right to kill it?."
