Drama As Delta Officials Apprehend Children Roaming Streets During School Hours

Delta State officials have reportedly apprehended some children who were roaming the streets during school hours.

According to Daily Sun, the officials of Delta State Government, on Thursday, stormed streets of Asaba, the state capital, where they arrested some children of school age roaming the streets during school hours.
 
Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Child Right Advocacy, Mrs. Bridget Anyafulu, said the state was simply implementing the provisions of the Child Rights law.
 
She said every child is owned by the state government and that they are supposed to be in school as early as 7:30a.m.
