The men who go bald before they clock the age of forty are at the risk of having a heart attack, a new study has shown.

A study has found that men who are balding or going grey early are five times more likely to suffer from heart disease before the age of 40,

That is a greater threat to men’s tickers than obesity, which raises the threat four-fold.
Scientists have yet to establish the reason but say early thinning or greying hair may indicate a health danger from premature ageing.
They analysed 790 men with coronary artery disease and 1,270 healthy blokes, all aged under 40.
Those with the disease were much more likely to be losing their hair or going grey early.
Premature balding was associated with a 5.6 times greater danger of having the condition, greyness to a 5.3 times bigger risk.
Dr Dhammdeep Humane, of the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology in Gujarat, India, said: “Men with premature greying and pattern baldness should receive extra monitoring for coronary artery disease.
They should also be given advice on life-style changes such as healthy diet, exercise, and stress management.”
Colleague Dr Kamal Sharma said hair condition “may indicate biological rather than chronological age”.
They called for further research before men are prescribed statins.
