See Nigeria's Position on Latest FIFA Rankings

The world football governing body, FIFA released the latest rankings of countries today.

Super Eagles of Nigeria
 
The Nigerian team retained its 53rd position on the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola world rankings released by the world football governing body, this Thursday morning, September 3.
 
The position of the Super Eagles on the continent also remained unchanged as they are still rated the ninth best African team with a meagre 599 points, a drop from its previous 601.
 
Algeria lead the pack in Africa, with 955 points; Cote D’Ivoire follow in second with an accumulation of 924 points.
 
Ghana, (827points), Tunisia (774points), Senegal (734points), Congo (672points), Cameroon (671points) and Egypt (619points) are the other countries ahead of Nigeria.
 
On the world stage, Chile’s heroics at the 2015 COPA America ensured that they moved further up in the top 10 world footballing countries.
 
The South American country’s position swap with England placed them in eighth while the Three Lions were relegated to tenth on the log.
