Terrifying! Lightning Strikes Dead Five Farmers and Leaves 3 Others Seriously Injured at a Village

A sad incident has claimed the lives of five farmers after they were struck dead by lightning in India.

Five people have been struck dead by lightning in India
 
Five farmers died and three others were critically injured after a thunderbolt struck them at Kalagodu village in Gummagutta mandal of Anantapur district on Sunday night.
 
The deceased have been identified as Obanna, Sivanna, Karimullah, Jayanna and Giri Reddy. They were working in an agricultural field when heavy rain hit the area.
 
The victims rushed to a hut adjacent to a tree for cover. They were waiting there when lightning struck the area. They died on the spot. The injured were rushed to hospital with severe burns.
 
Elsewhere in the district, two cows were electrocuted after a thunderbolt hit them at Kadarampalli village in Rayadurgam mandal.
