At the beginning of this year, some notable Nigerian men of God had predicted that secessionist leader, Nnamdi Kanu will be released this year, it seems like the prophecy may finally come to pass
Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu
The decision of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to grant bail to the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu on health ground might soon give credence to the prophecies made by a number of Nigerian men of God at the beginning of the year that the Biafran leader will regain his freedom this year.
Kanu was arrested on the 14th of October, 2015 at the Golden Tulip Essential Lagos Airport Hotel and has been in prison for over 2 years.
Four notable Nigerian prophets had predicted that Nnamdi Kanu will be released from prison this year and having taken the first step - securing his bail - based on logistics, the words of these men of God might actually come true. Could these men of God have actually seen the future? Well, that discuss will be left for another day as we give you the list of the four notable men of God who predicted Kanu's freedom.
Four Nigerian prophets who predicted Nnamdi Kanu's release
1. Prophet Emmanuel Chukwudi of King of Kings Deliverance Church had in his prophecies for 2017 stated categorically clear that Nnamdi Kanu will be released this year and that would lead to the actualization of Biafra. He made the prophecy in Asaba, Delta State.
However, Chukwudi added that towards the end of 2019, President Muhammadu Buhari’s health will fail him and he “shall go the way of all men.” It is yet to be seen if the second prophecy about Buhari will come to pass.
“Tell pro-Biafrans to stop shedding tears. Their leader Nnamdi Kanu shall not remain in prison custody for too long again. He is already on his way out. As for their (pro-Biafrans) agitations for Biafra, the Lord says it is already in the horizon. Their day shall come soon”.
“The Lord is also speaking about Nigeria. Nigeria will come out of its current recession before the end of 2019. Oil price will stabilize and hardship shall disappear.
“But towards 2019, the president’s health shall fail him, and he shall go the way of all men. But VP Yemi Osinbajo shall wrestle with the soldiers. They shall try to seize power and Osinbajo shall prevail. He shall lead Nigeria into 2019.” Chukwudi said.
2. Another notable man of God, Prophet Princewill Iheme also predicted among other things that President Muhammadu Buhari would release the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu.
In his own words, he said: “My fellow Nigerians, I'm not afraid to deliver God's message the only thing that can happen to a man is death which is the biological zero point of a man. Every human being must die one day.”
“God revealed to me that President Donald Trump can't give Biafra. The only thing that can give Biafra is unity among the Biafrans. The Biafra agitators are not united so how do you think that Biafra will stand as a country? If all Biafrans unite together as one they will get Biafra before one year. So if you need Biafra there must among Biafrans first.”
Prophet Iheme restated: “President Buhari will release Kanu soon. But Donald Trump cannot give Biafra.”
3. Pastor of the Champions Royal Assembly, an Abuja based church, Bro Joshua iginla also predicted the release of Nnamdi Kanu with his 72 prophecies for the year 2017. Pastor Iginla had said that agitation of Biafra will take another turn and that Kanu Nnamdi, the Biafra leader will face health challenge.
"The agitation of Biafra will take another turn. Pray so that this time it should not be bloody. We should pray for Kanu Nnamdi, the biafra leader, because I see an health challenge and I see bitterness and agitation from thissame region he is coming from. And I pray the current administration is very sensitive over the case of Nnamdi Kanu because what I see is not too good. May the Lord keep Nigeria. Will he come out? Yes! How will he come out? I can’t really tell. I see it as something divine. I don’t see legal issue as a means of removing him from there." he prophecied.
4. Also, an Enugu-based man of God, Prophet Anthony Nwoko foresaw the release of Nnamdi Kanu. He had earlier in the year predicted that Kanu will regain his freedom this year.
Nwoko also said that Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari will not die in office as purportedly prophesied by some people who he described as fake prophets, saying that they not of God.
“Some said President Buhari will die but I am telling the world that President Buhari will not die as that prophecy is not from God Almighty, Buhari will see the rebirth of Biafra from Nigeria”. Nwoko stated.
While speaking during his New Year prophetic message titled: ‘2017 a year of liberation for Biafra’ Nwoko said that 2017 is a golden jubilee of Biafra spiritual battle in Nigeria, adding that the storm is over.
Prophet Nwoko who is neither married nor has children said Biafra as a nation will show the light, but warned the Igbos not to deride the plan of God for them in this period of realisation as that will bring more hardship on them. He stressed that there is going to be the return of Igbo glory adding, “Ndigbo has run the race; and only those who have run the race well will be crowned.
“So in 2017 God will lift Igbo nation above other nations; 2017 is a year all the Igbo detainees across the 36 states of Nigeria on account of agitation for Biafra will be released”.
*********
The bail granted to Nnamdi Kanu has become the next topical issue as social media is abuzz with excitement from people of his region.
Some believe that the prophecies of the men of God are about being fulfilled leaving supporters of the Biafran leader elated. But, what will the future hold for the Biafran leader and his supporters even after his release, is still unknown?
Nigerians will still be skeptical about prophecies coming from men of God. The 'failed' prophecy by T.B Joshua is still fresh in the minds of many in which he said he saw a woman as the President of the United States which eventually didn't happen. As a result, men of God have become objects of ridicule and are bashed on social media at the slightest opportunity with many involved in one s*x scandal or the other.
It is still yet to be seen if eventually the prophecy comes true whether Nigerians will have a rethink on how they view men of God in the country.
