After weeks of being pestered by social media users and journalists about her marital status, the light-skinned beautiful contestant of the Big Brother Naija reality show has admitted she was once married and the experience was turbulent.

Ex BB Naija contestant, Gifty recently broke down in tears as she admitted she was once married during an interview with HipTV.
It should be recalled that Gifty has always denied being married despite being confronted with pictorial evidence.
From all indications, her marriage seems to have failed as she claims the union remains a 'dark part' of her life which she doesn't want to go back to.
Gifty is allegedly now enjoying a long-term romance with Nigerian musician, Mr 2Kay and has made several public appearances with him since leaving the Big Brother Naija house on eviction.
The Anambra-born model who reportedly married one Sorochukwu Akumah, a movie director in 2014 urged young girls to be well prepared for the challenges of marriage before dabbling into it.
In her words:
"I must say it right now and here that the marriage issue was kinda real. Yes.. I was once married and its a dark part of my life that I don't wanna ever go back.
"First of all, my advice to every young girl out there...(bursts into tears).. is that before your go to a marriage (sic), you have be physically, mentally emotionally and psychologically matured because I was naive."
