#RunLagos Participant Hoping to Win $50,000 in the Lagos City Marathon Faints On 3rd Mainland Bridge (Photos)

Kenyan man Abraham Kiptum has emerged winner of the 2017 Lagos City Marathon as an unidentified runner faints on 3rd Mainland Bridge out of exhaustion.

The runner fainted out of exhaustion while running for the prize money
 
A man participating in the Lagos City Marathon sponsored by Access Bank has fainted on the 3rd Mainland Bridge, according to reports. The unidentified man fainted out of exhaustion as medics rallied round to help revive him. It is believed he is in a stable condition.
 
The Lagos City Marathon attracts runners from over ten countries in Africa. Runners from Europe and America have also indicated interest to run in the race.
 
Abraham Kiptum has won the 2017 Lagos City Marathon
 
The 2017 edition of the competition has again been won by a Kenyan man. Abraham Kiptum has won the Lagos City Marathon for the second year running with a time of 2 hours, 10 minutes. He will be going back to his country, with the star prize of $50,000. In 2016, the Kenyan athlete, won the maiden edition of the marathon race with a time of 2 hours, 16 minutes and 19 seconds. 
 
 
The female category was won by Rodah Tanui while Nigeria's Babalola Hannah won the wheelchair race.
