US President, Donald Trump and North Korean leader, Kim Jong-Un might never be best buddies, but convincing impersonators are giving Hong Kongers a glimpse of what their improbable friendship might look like.
Trump and Kim attempting to kiss publicly
An unlikely scene greeted people in Hong Kong this morning as American president Donald Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un hugged and leaned in for a kiss on the city streets.
The Sun UK reports that the lookalikes of the controversial leaders turned heads and prompted many giggles as they paraded down a busy shopping district to promote a Chinese New Year song today.
The tubby tyrant was portrayed by a Hong Kong-based Australian musician who gave only his first name, Howard, as he swaggered in the young leader’s trademark black uniform.
His counterpart playing Trump, a 66-year-old American musician who goes by the name of Dennis Alan, pouted and took the insults in stride.
Describing themselves as political satirists, the pair hugged and pretended to kiss as they posed for photos outside the US consulate on Wednesday.
Waving the national flags of the United States and North Korea, Kim pronounced “Death to America” as onlookers giggled and snapped photos of the pair with their smartphones.
