Senate APC Caucus Sacks Ndume as Its Leader, Appoints New Person

The All Progressives Congress Senate caucus members have removed Ali Ndume as its leader in the Senate and appointed a new person.

The All Progressives Caucus in the Senate has sacked the Majority Leader, Senator Ali Ndume, as its leader.
 
The decision was conveyed in a letter to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, which was read on the floor of the chamber during the plenary on Tuesday, announced Senator Ahmed Lawan as its new leader.
 
However, in a swift reaction to the latest caucus decision, Ndume has said he is unaware of his removal and still remains the Senate Leader.
 
"I still remain Senate Leader" Sen Ali Ndume in a press briefing. Says he is unaware of his removal by the APC Senate Caucus," he is quoted as saying.
