EFCC Letter of Summon To ThisDay Publisher, Nduka Obaigbena (Attached)

Publisher of ThisDay Newspapers, Nduka Obaigbena, was on June 26 invited to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged money laundering.

According to an exclusive report from SaharaReporters, the publisher of ThisDay Newspapers, and Chairman of Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigerian (NPAN), Nduka Obaigbena, was on June 26 invited to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over what a source at the agency described as alleged money laundering.

A copy of the invitation letter obtained by SaharaReporters shows that Mr. Obaigbena was scheduled to report at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja on July 7.
 
 
It is unclear if Mr. Obaigbena honoured the invitation or not. He is currently visiting the United States.
 
The reason for his summon remains unclear but sources reveals that it may be connected with suspicious transactions running into several millions of dollars.
