Some international airline passengers couldn't be processed upon arrival at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Lagos due to power outage.

Photos and video clips making rounds online and social media, has revealed how international passengers, including passengers from Emirates and Turkish airlines, were left in darkness and were unable to pass through immigration because of lack of power.

It was gathered from reports that the Lagos Murtala Mohammed International Airport had been without light since about 3/4pm on Monday, September 12.

The airport authority allegedly claimed that the airport generator has packed up. "How can our generator not have back up? So now people are in perpetual darkness as they wait for the airport authority to do something," he said.
