The man identified simply as Ofosu, has murdered his brother-in-law.

According to Daily Guide, it was gathered that, Ofosu, 30, a Ghanaian farmer allegedly butchered his brother-in-law, Kwaku Dada at Akyem-Pankese near Nkawkaw in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region, at the dawn of Monday by mistakenly thinking he was his rival.

An eye witness who is also the landlady of Akosua, the farmer’s girlfriend speaking on Agoo FM, an Nkawkaw based radio station, narrated that Ofosu was Akosua’s boyfriend but due to some misunderstanding between them, Ofosu sacked her from his house forcing the girl to rent an abode to stay in.

According to the landlady, sometime after the separation, Ofosu suspected Akosua of seeing another man so on that fateful morning, he sneaked into Akosua’s room and upon entering the room he spotted a gentleman and butchered him brutally and fled.

The victim, unfortunately, was his brother in-law that he mistook for a rival.

Kwaku Dada who had machete wounds on his arms and head with blood oozing all over his body was rushed to the Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital for treatment but was quickly referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital due to the severity of the wounds.

The Adontenhene of Pankese had reported the matter to the police who were currently on Ofosu’s heels to bring him before the law.
