Suspected Militants Blow Up Two Oil Installations in Delta

A yet to be identified militant group has attacked another oil facility in the South-south region despite all efforts of the government to quell the crisis.

 
Armed men suspected to be militants, on Monday, attacked two oil installations around Batan community in Delta State.

The incident was said to have occurred at about 12.05am this morning.

Confirming the attack, the Chairman of Batan community, Dickson Ogugu said, “We heard a double explosion at about 12:05am between Camp 3 and Kokologbene communities.”

However, neither the rampaging Niger Delta Avengers or other militant groups have claimed responsibility for the latest attack.
 
The attack is coming at a time when peace talks between the militants and the Federal Government is on.
