BREAKING News: Grazing Bill for Herdsmen Passes First Reading at Senate

The Senate has passed for first reading a bill to establish grazing reserves for cattle across the country.

During today's plenary session at the National Assembly, members of the Nigerian Senate passed for first reading, a bill to establish grazing reserves for cattles across the country.
 
Rabiu Kwankwaso, a senator from Kano central, who sponsored the bill titled it: "National Grazing Reserves Agency Bill, 2016", as it was read the first time at the senate on Wednesday.
 
There was also a similar bill titled "National Ranching Commision Bill" which was sponsored by Barnabas Gemade, a senator representating Benue North East, and it also scaled the first reading‎.
 
The bill‎s are coming at time that there have been reports of attacks by Fulani herdsmen across the country. The killings in Nimbo, Enugu State and Agatu in Benue State‎, are some of the recent reported attacks.
