Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has rubbished reports circulating online that he plans to decamp from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking via a post on his Facebook page, the governor reaffirmed his membership in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing himself as a “bona fide member” of the party.
He urged the public to disregard the fake news, as those pushing the narrative were simply trying to distract his administration from serving the state.
The post reads: “I am Dauda Lawal, a bona fide member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Disregard the fake news from detractors determined to distract us from the RESCUE MISSION we have embarked on.”
Governor Lawal emphasized that his focus remains on delivering the mandate given to him by the people of Zamfara State and not on political distractions.
