The founder of The Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has cautioned President Bola Tinubu against "playing God".
He also asserted that the current administration is veering the country off course.
Delivering a state of the nation address on Sunday, April 20, at the church’s auditorium in Ikeja, Lagos, Bakare called for a more humble and reflective approach to governance.
In his address, Bakare urged the President to reassess his leadership style and take responsibility for the growing discontent in the nation. “Stop playing God,” he said pointedly, adding that while he disagrees with Tinubu’s methods, he harbours no desire for his failure. “The current administration is steering the polity adrift,” he added, calling on the government to “embrace humility.”

He challenged Senate President Godswill Akpabio to provide a clear explanation for the move and reaffirm the chamber’s commitment to democratic principles.
