Tinubu’s Govt Worse Than Nigerian Military Dictatorship – Pastor Giwa

Pastor Giwa said those who claimed to have fought the military are now worse than the junta leaders.

The Senior Pastor of The Second Coming of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa has slammed the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

Speaking on Tuesday, he stated that the Bola Tinubu-led administration is worse than that of a military era.

Pastor Giwa said those who claimed to have fought the military are now worse than the junta leaders.

In a brief interview with DAILY POST, the Akure-based clergyman faulted the state of emergency declared in Rivers State.

He wondered why a state of emergency was not declared in Plateau State following the killings of over 50 people but was declared in Rivers State.

According to Pastor Giwa: “This present government has turned militarised everything, it’s just like we are under military dictatorship; this is worst than the military government.

“A state where 50 people were killed, there was no state of emergency, compare that to a state where nobody was killed, a state of emergency was declared.

“This is worse than the military, this is what we are passing through in Nigeria. Those who claimed to have fought for democracy are worse than the military dictatorship or leaders.”

Recall that on Monday, no fewer than 50 people were again killed by gunmen with scores injured in the Zikke and Kakpa communities in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Residents said 51 bodies were recovered in the Zikke and Kimakpa villages in Plateau’s Bassa district, while several more were reportedly injured.

This comes two weeks after deadly clashes in another part of the state left several people dead.

Last week, the National Emergency Agency said gunmen had killed at least 52 people and displaced nearly 2,000 others over several days of attacks in Plateau, which has had a history of violence between farmers and cattle herders.

Reacting to the killings, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, former presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar said Tinubu’s security policies and architecture has failed woefully.
